Art-Stop - Motion

For the past few days 7/8WH and 7/8AL have been doing art. No it's not this type of art.


This is the type of art we are doing.



We are doing.....







We started doing this on the 4th of February and it has already got me existed on what all our Stop Motion videos look like.
We all had to be in groups of either 2 or 3 and I chose 3.
I am currently in a group with the amazing Libby & Nici and I think I work pretty good with them.
What my group and I are doing for our Stop Motion video is how we all met but we aren't going to use toys of a white board we are going to use clay.
with each scene you have to move the clay and change the shape of it just a little bit and each scene after you move the clay you take a picture.
I can't wait for my groups and my video to be done and  I can't wait to show you guys.

Waitangi Day

As you already know we have just had a public holiday for Waitangi Day.

In this blog post I will be telling you some facts about it.

Every year on the 6th of February New Zealand celebrates the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi which was first celebrated in 1840. New Zealanders celebrate this day in many different ways. 

With some people it is just a day off work and a chance to enjoy the warm summer weather. However for others it is a chance to reflect on a significant day in New Zealand's history.

At times Waitangi Day has included Protests and Conflict.

The treaty house grounds were made a public reserve which was dedicated on 6th of February 1934.

This event is considered to be the first Waitangi Day. Up to 10,000 Maori attended the 1934 celebrations.

What school is like in Mexico

Today we are going to find out what school is like in Mexico.

Let's get started.

So here are two questions I would like to find out about school in Mexico.

1. When does school start in Mexico?

2. what do they do for school?

1.Mexican middle schools and high schools generally start between 07:00–07:30, with elementary schools starting at 08:00. However, for public schools, there's the concept of afternoon school, which starts, well, in the afternoon.

2.

In Mexico, basic education is normally divided in three steps:primary school (primaria), comprising grades 1-6, junior high school (secundaria), comprising grades 7-9, and high school (preparatoria), comprising grades 10-12.

That is pretty cool I would love to go to school in Mexico.

Reflection - Cybersmart

Today in Cybersmart I will be reflecting on my Cybersmart journey.

Term 1 we worked on...
Being a smart Learner.
being a smart learner involves: Keeping your password to yourself and yourself only apart from your parents and caregiver,
keeping personal info to yourself,
And making sure that only your parents , caregiver and yourself know you password.

Term 2 we worked on...
Smart Footprint.
A Smart Footprint is a digital Footprint is something that will always stay online so what ever you put on the internet will stay on the internet.

Term 3 we worked on...
Smart Relationships.
A Smart Relationship is making sure that your sharing the right information online to online friends that you haven't met before because you don't know who is on the other side of the screen.

Term 4 we worked on... 
Smart User.
A smart User is a person that knows how to use their devices to learn , Create and share.

My favourite thing about Cybersmart was that I was able to work in a group with friends and talk about what we learnt and what we were learning.

What I didn't enjoy about Cybersmart was that we didn't have enough time to make a quality blog post with
enough information because we only got a few minutes to create it and publish it.

What my Cybersmart teacher did well was that she was amazing at teaching us all about cybersmart and that we have to stay safe online.

what I think she could do better at is give us enough time to make a blog post but other than that she was amazing.

SLJ Cybersmart - Research About Mexico

Today for cybersmart we are finding facts about a country. The country I chose is Mexico.

What is the weather in the capital city of mexico usually: 25 °c (77 °F).

Where is Mexico's main city located in: South - Central Mexico

what is the common language in mexico's main city spoken: Spanish.

My favourite facts about Mexico  are what they mostly speak and and where it is located.

I would love to go to Mexico when I'm older or even with my family because Mexico sounds like a cool place to go on a holiday.

 

Our Search Question

For Cybersmart today we had to solve a question. this is the question we had to solve (This Invention was initially created as a walking machine and then was tweaked in 1932 to become amphibious.  But neither of these are it's main purpose now.  What is the invention.)I had lots of fun trying to figure out what the answer was so I searched this up (what was the name of walking machine that was created in 1932.) This is what it came up with.

The Answer that I got was the Mechanical EL the Mechanical Elephant.
Some people say it's a type of car maybe it is maybe it isn't.
I think it's a type of car because it says in a article that it has tyres like cars and you control it like a car too so maybe it is a type of car but shaped as an elephant.
It can go in water and land.
I don't know if it is the right answer but if you are interested you could have a go at it I bet it will be fun.
My buddy was Tahnesha and I think we work really good together.

My pH Scale Quiz

Today my class and I did a small Quiz and it was so fun.

After we finished our Quiz we would get the teacher to give us the answers.

I was working with my two friends Addyson & Shontelle.
