The Difference Between all sorts of Dolphins

Hi my name is tehya, Have you guys ever thought “what is the difference between most dolphins”? Well I am going to tell you the difference between them.

First off I’m going to start with the Common dolphin
The length of a Common dolphin
is 2.4 m, WOW! How incredible is that.
Now we're going to find out where the Common dolphin lives can’t wait.
Well a Common dolphin is actually found any where. They mainly live in all tropical , sub-tropical and warm temperate waters. When they go to the Atlantic Ocean they migrate as far north as Iceland. They are also found in the Mediterranean , the Black Sea , Red Sea and the Persian Gulf.
Man I am getting really interested in this report.

Next up is the Bottlenose dolphin
The length of a Bottlenose dolphin
is 4 m,AWESOME!
Now who’s excited to find out where the Bottlenose dolphin lives in know I am!
So the Bottlenose dolphin lives in

The Dusky dolphin
The length o a Dusky dolphin
is 210 cm, and one thing I love about these types of dolphins is that their pattern on e their body is so satisfying and amazingly beautiful. Dusky dolphins live in many areas and are confined to the southern hemisphere in temperate waters between around 26°S and 55°N. Main populations occur around South America, South Western Africa and in New Zealand waters.

We are going to learn well you are going to how big of a diffrence is between a female orca and a male orca
First we well you are going to start with the female Orca
The length of a female Orca is well if you search it up it actually says that the largest female Orca recorded on tap was 8.5 m and it weighed 7,500 kg that is unbelievable!

Moving onto the male Orca
Now the male Orca is 9.8 m and it weighed 10,000 kg now that is big!
Now we are going to find out where abouts they live this will be exciting!
Orcas normally live with their mothers for the whole lives but some leave their mother and go somewhere else. They mainly live in the Arctic ocean and Antarctic and are often spotted off the west coast of the United States and Canada. Orcas are found in both coastal waters and open ocean’s.

  1. Hey Tehya,

Happy New Year! I am Jade C from the Summer Learning Journey blogging team 2017-2018. I will be blogging with you this summer! I hope you are having a wonderful time with your friends and your family!

This is a really good information report about dolphins and I can tell that you have put a lot of effort in researching and writing this report. I enjoyed reading this and learned many new interesting facts about different types of dolphins such as the common dolphin, bottlenose dolphin, dusky dolphin, and the female and male orcas. It's great that you differentiated the male and the female orcas and found some common features of them as well. Perhaps you could have made a venn diagram to organise the similarities and differences. However, well done for writing an amazing information report!

I would love to read more of your blog and comment on them! To help you get started with blogging this summer, I have included the link to our Summer Learning Journey activities list.
